What happened To Guardian Bikes After Shark Tank.
In 2017, Brian Riley and Kyle Jansen walked into Shark Tank with a mission to make kids' bikes safer. After a family bike accident, Brian invented the SureStop Brake System. This clever technology uses just one lever to safely stop the bike without letting kids flip over the handlebars. The founders wanted a $500,000 investment for 10% of their business, giving the company a $5 million valuation. Mark Cuban loved the idea and offered the $500,000 investment for 15% of the company, and they accepted the deal.
The partnership was a massive success, but when the pandemic hit, shipping costs from China skyrocketed. Instead of giving up, the company made a bold business move. They moved their manufacturing to Seymour, Indiana, creating over 100 new American jobs.
Today, Guardian Bikes is a thriving business that sells bikes for riders of all ages, from toddlers to adults. Prices start at $149 for its Balance Bike, while many of its popular kids' models sell for $249. Adult bikes start at $399.
The company now generates an estimated $24 million in annual revenue, making Guardian Bikes one of the biggest success stories to come out of Shark Tank.
