What Happened to FlaminGO After Shark Tank.
Smith Alan Baggett entered Shark Tank Season 16 asking for a $100,000 investment for 20% equity in his business.
Smith runs a cattle ranch in Georgia. While working long days on the ranch, his phone kept dying, and there was no power nearby. He often missed important calls. This real problem pushed him to create a simple solution called FlaminGO.
FlaminGO is a small portable phone charger that comes pre-charged and ready to use right out of the package. It is lightweight, easy to carry, and built for emergencies when your battery dies. It also has a 3-in-1 tip that works with iPhones, Android phones, and other devices like earbuds.
Unlike normal power banks, FlaminGO does not need to be charged before sale. It can stay charged on a shelf for up to two years.
Each charger costs about $3.65 to make and ship, and it sells for a price between $12.99 and $19.99.
After negotiation, Barbara Corcoran made a $100,000 investment for 22% equity, and Smith accepted the deal.
After Shark Tank, FlaminGO sales grew fast. The company now sells packs, offers discounts, and wholesale deals for businesses. Today, its estimated net worth is around $1 million, and the brand continues to grow as more customers make purchases every day.
