What Happened to FurZapper After Shark Tank?
In 2021, Michael Sweigart and Harry Levin walked onto Shark Tank with a clever business idea: a tacky silicone disc that removes stubborn pet hair from your laundry. Michael invented the product by accident after dropping a silicone mask onto a dog-hair-covered floor.
Before the show, the partners already had booming sales thanks to a major purchase order that placed FurZapper in every Walmart store. Seeking to expand their business, they entered the Tank asking for a $600,000 investment in exchange for 10% equity. The Sharks were amazed by their $5 million in past sales. After a wild bidding war, the founders accepted Lori Greiner's deal of $600,000 for 15% equity plus a line of credit.
Although the deal never officially closed after filming, the massive TV exposure sent their business to the moon. FurZapper completely sold out in less than two weeks. With steady retail price points and an impressive history of over $5 million in annual revenue, FurZapper has proven its incredible worth as a massive pet care success story.
