Making money with AI is being wildly overhyped.

And there’s a pretty simple reason why: telling you how to make money with AI… makes people money.

Millions of people are searching for it. “How to make money with AI.” “Best AI side hustles.” “How to get rich with ChatGPT.”

That creates demand for content.

So creators make the videos — even when they haven’t actually made money doing the thing they’re teaching.

Because if they can get their video into that search algorithm, they win. Views. Followers. Ad revenue. Affiliates. Sponsors.

They fake it until the audience itself becomes the business.

That’s the game.

So let me be clear about my own experience.

I’ve made money running multiple businesses. I use AI constantly. But AI isn’t making me money.

It’s a tool I use to make certain parts of running those businesses faster or easier.

Saying “AI makes me money” would be a little like saying my computer makes me money. Or my desk chair makes me money because I happen to be sitting in it while I work.

The business makes the money.

AI helps me run the business.

There is a difference.

That said, there are a few things I’ve found AI to be surprisingly useful for — including some I didn’t expect.
