2027 Toyota Corolla Hatchback SE review, walkaround, and test drive. This is one of the first 2027 Corolla Hatchbacks to arrive on our lot, and in this video, I cover its exterior design, engine performance, interior, technology, cargo space, fuel economy, pricing, safety features, and driving experience.

The Corolla Hatchback uses a 2.0-liter Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine producing 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with Toyota’s Dynamic-Shift continuously variable transmission, which uses a physical launch gear for initial acceleration before transitioning to the CVT. Paddle shifters and Normal, Eco, and Sport driving modes are also standard.

For 2027, the Corolla Hatchback SE gains a standard 7-inch digital gauge cluster. Other features on this model include an 8-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control, Smart Key with push-button start, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.

Finished in Inferno with a Black fabric interior, this particular SE includes crossbars, mudguards, a spider-style cargo net, all-weather floor liners, and an all-weather cargo tray. Its total suggested retail price is $27,104.

Fuel economy is EPA-estimated at 32 city / 41 highway / 35 combined MPG.
