In this in-depth tutorial, I demonstrate how to replace a ferrule and install a new tip on a pool cue using a Mid-America Professional Series Large-Bore Cue Lathe.
The video walks through the complete process, including removing the old ferrule, preparing the tenon, installing and finishing the replacement ferrule, installing the new cue tip, and completing the final shaping and polishing.
I also discuss how to identify and deal with runout when trimming a new ferrule so it can be properly matched to the existing cue shaft.
