YouTube Automation: The Music That Got Me 4 Copyright Claims

YouTube automation and copyright claims on music: four free background tracks used by this channel's pipeline were claimed by Content ID.

THE CLAIMS
The tracks came bundled with an open-source video tool. Four of them (output010, 017, 019 and 028) drew claims and now sit in a quarantine folder. One of them, output010, had been marked safe after days of clean uploads, then drew a claim when it played under a 9 minute 43 second video. The files on this machine show 75 video builds that used it.

CLAIMS CAN LAND LATE
One Short passed a check right after upload and the claim arrived hours later, after it had gone live, blocked in every country. An API check of regionRestriction catches blocks only; earning-limitation claims show up in Studio.

THE FIX
The pipeline no longer uses music files. tools/ambience.py generates the background bed at build time: a slow detuned drone plus soft filtered noise, about one second to make. There is no existing recording for Content ID to match.

The commands and output in the video are real, from 1 October 2026.

Have you ever been claimed for free music? Tell me in the comments. One checked build every day on this channel.
