One thing @wsj didn’t mention: a lot of the Everywhere Millionaires in this article are men.

My prediction is that the next wave of Everywhere Millionaires will be WOMEN building online businesses that are truly everywhere.

The old version built wealth through car dealerships, convenience store chains, restaurants, HVAC companies, veterinary practices, and beverage distributors.

The 2026 version might build:

1️⃣ A niche service business
2️⃣ A creator or media business
3️⃣ A paid newsletter or membership
4️⃣ A fractional consulting practice
5️⃣ Digital products or education
6️⃣ A small software or AI product

Online businesses aren’t easy money. But they’re cheaper to test, can start with knowledge you already have, and give more people a way to own the upside.

And by the time the prestige crowd decides a career path sounds impressive, a lot of the arbitrage is usually gone.
