In this episode of Saylor Adventures, I show you how I added a power winch to the rear ramp door of my Keystone Raptor 300MP Toy Hauler.

If you own a toy hauler, you know that raising that big rear ramp door can be a pain—especially after a long day of riding. I wanted a simple and affordable way to make closing the ramp easier, so I came up with this DIY power winch setup.

With the push of a button, the winch helps pull the ramp door closed instead of having to muscle it up manually. It makes loading up at the end of the day much easier and also gives me an additional level of security when the ramp is closed.

Best of all, the entire setup cost me around $100.

In this video, I walk through my setup, how I mounted everything, and the parts I used to make it work. If you're looking for an inexpensive way to add a power-assisted ramp door to your toy hauler, hopefully this gives you some ideas for your own setup.

As with any custom winch setup, make sure your mounting points, hardware, wiring, and winch capacity are appropriate for your specific trailer and ramp door before attempting a similar modification.
