Most of us look at the number on a charger and assume that is the speed we are getting. 65W, 100W, 160W, bigger number, faster charging. But once I connected a power meter to the Anker Prime 160W Charger, the story got a lot more interesting.

In this video, I’m looking at what a high wattage USB-C GaN charger actually does when you plug in an iPhone, a MacBook, and multiple devices at the same time. I also wanted to see how much of the charging experience comes down to the charger, the cable, the device, and heat management.

I also paired it with the Anker Prime 26K 300W Power Bank to see how the Prime setup works when you are away from the wall. For travel, desk setups, laptops, tablets, phones, and camera gear, this is the part that made the system feel more practical than just another fast charger.
