What would make me continue working—a job I loved, minimal hours, no stress or unlimited vacation? After seven years retired, my honest answer is probably none of them, because even the perfect job cannot provide complete ownership of my time. Retirement gave me the freedom to protect my health, deepen relationships, mentor others, build a YouTube channel and experience slow travel—and only financial necessity or a genuine family crisis might convince me to sell that freedom back.
