We’re exploring Georgian Bay, Ontario by boat, and this time our adventure takes us beneath the surface in search of something that’s been sitting at the bottom for years.

After leaving Hindson Marina, we cruise out into Georgian Bay and anchor near Little Beckwith Island before heading toward Hope Island, where we set out in search of several historic shipwrecks.

This stretch of our Great Loop through Canada turned into much more than just another day of boating. Between anchoring among the remote islands of Georgian Bay, searching for shipwrecks, and snorkeling over a piece of maritime history, this was one of those days that reminded us why we love exploring places from the water.
