Google has added a new tool to help you create visuals from your Google Sheets data.

I'll show you the new Create Canvas feature inside Google Sheets.

The Sheet-To-Canvas Blueprint:
- Generate the Foundation: Open your data table or have Gemini build a set of dummy rows so you don't expose private client info while experimenting.
- Open Gemini: Open the side panel and navigate directly to the Tools menu at the bottom.
- Select the Canvas option: Select "Create Canvas" and check the auto-suggestions based on your columns.
- Wait: Click generate and leave it alone. The interface will look like nothing is happening for several minutes.
- Find the Hidden Menu: Watch the grayed-out Canvas menu icon on the bottom bar. Once it turns clickable, your new visual board is ready.

A few thoughts:
- Don't panic when your spreadsheet appears to freeze. Gemini Canvas is slow. It takes about five minutes to process a simple table, so expect longer generation times with larger datasets.
- Google's UI design makes this incredibly easy to miss. The icon stays gray and unresponsive while it thinks, giving no clear loading state or error message.
