In today’s workplace, many of us work from home, in the office, or somewhere in between. We use email, chat apps, video meetings, cloud storage, and mobile devices to get work done.

But cybercriminals know this too.

Social engineering attackers take advantage of remote and hybrid work by pretending to be someone we trust — a manager, IT support, HR staff, vendor, coworker, or executive. Their goal is to make us act quickly before we think clearly.

They may send urgent messages like:

“Please verify your account now.”
“Can you send this file immediately?”
“Your access will be suspended in 24 hours.”
“Click this link to continue working remotely.”

This video teaches employees how to recognize social engineering risks in hybrid and remote work environments, especially when requests come through email, chat, calls, or online meetings.
