Moving to Portugal's interior with a remote job (2026)

Portugal's Emprego Interior MAIS, if you already have legal residence in Portugal (for example a D8 digital nomad visa):

About €3,760 for remote work, self-employment or a permanent job
About €2,686 for a fixed-term contract of 12 months or more
Plus 20% for each family member who moves with you
Plus about €806 toward moving your things

Lisbon and Porto don't count. Apply within 180 days of the move. Open until the budget runs out. Confirm the details with IEFP before you plan.
