**I Let AI Edit My Video in DaVinci Resolve... WOW!**
Almost 24 minutes of raw footage. Multiple takes, false starts, and plenty of mistakes. I gave it some basic instructions and let it get to work.

It picked the takes, cut the video down, added zooms, and created animated graphics. Then I gave it my website and asked it to match the branding. Fonts, colours, the whole thing. All without me manually touching the timeline.

This is DaVinci Resolve AI editing using the new MCP integration in Studio 21.1, with ChatGPT controlling the edit. And while the first result looked promising, it missed a few things. I’ll show you how switching to a Deepgram transcript helped clean up those cuts and get the timing right.

We’ll walk through what I asked it to do, what it actually made, and the requirements and estimated costs, right through to the finished 4K export.

For me, this is the exciting part of AI video editing: I can focus on what I want to say and get help with the hours of editing that come after.
