Set up a Shopify affiliate program that tracks sales correctly, controls commission costs, and pays affiliates automatically, without creating a complicated manual workflow.

In this walkthrough, I set up a complete affiliate program in Rekomi and show the decisions that actually matter for an established Shopify store: commission structure, attribution windows, first vs. last click, lifetime vs. limited commissions, target countries, fraud screening, payout thresholds, and affiliate discount codes.

I also cover commission tiers, affiliate and product links, sub IDs, recruiting affiliates, conversion tracking, automatic payouts, tax forms, promotional materials, and the affiliate signup experience.

The important part is not simply getting an affiliate program live. Your commission rules and attribution model directly affect how much you pay for each sale and which partners receive credit. The wrong setup can make affiliate revenue look better than it actually is.

By the end, you’ll have a clearer framework for deciding how to structure an affiliate channel for your Shopify store and whether Rekomi fits your current setup.
