If you’re an existing boiler engineer, there’s never been a better time to retrain to become a heat pump installer. Across the UK there are millions of existing homes that will need to be converted to heat pumps in the coming years.

Discover how you can quickly upskill and become a part of this growing industry in the UK.

You can find more information about the certification process and certification bodies on the MCS website and the heat pump standards also developed by MCS.

The government grants and loans available are the Boiler Upgrade Scheme in England and Wales and the Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan in Scotland.

Start at Home is a scheme run by Nesta designed to bridge the gap between training in heat pumps and the first installation. The scheme provides a funded heat pump for engineers to install in their own home.
