We caught up with Bachelor of Business (Marketing) graduate Pam Morrissey at our Wellington ceremony in May as part of our graduate video series.
Pam always knew that she wanted to work with and help people.
She decided to start her own business called Pam Morrissey Coaching in 2019, using her experience to help teachers with their careers while living abroad.
But Pam needed the business systems and knowledge to handle the influx of customers.
That's why she enrolled with New Zealand’s leading flexible, online learning provider Open Polytechnic in 2020, from China.
During her studies, Pam put her coaching business on the back burner and then switched the focus to helping parents, based on her own change in circumstances.
This pivot also gave her the confidence and vision to co-found an organisation for expat parents in China, where she has since been promoted to CEO.
