Join me for a live pastel demonstration inspired by a beautiful view along the Deschutes River in downtown Bend, Oregon. I’ll explore how to capture the dance of late-day light across water, foliage, and grasses, simplifying this wonderfully complex scene while preserving the sparkle, atmosphere, and sense of place that first caught my eye.

A tumble of colorful roses spills over a picket fence, turning an ordinary garden edge into an irresistible painting subject. Join me as we explore the rich color, dappled light, and wonderful tangle of shapes in this intimate garden scene.
