Did Natasha Cloud just make Enes Kanter Freedom’s argument stronger?
During Sunday night’s Chicago Sky vs. Indiana Fever game, Cloud scored and then walked toward Kanter, yelling and pointing in his direction. Kanter stood up and stepped toward the playing surface before security intervened and removed him from the arena.
Kanter was sitting courtside wearing a shirt defining a woman as an “adult human female,” part of his very public challenge to the debate surrounding transgender eligibility in women’s basketball.
Kanter says he was kicked out for supporting women. Critics say the explanation is much simpler: he stepped onto the court and security did its job. Cloud later publicly reaffirmed her support for the trans community.
But the larger argument isn’t going anywhere: should biological sex determine eligibility in women’s professional sports? And did the WNBA handle this confrontation fairly?
