Angela Nikolau and Ivan Beerkus climbed the Empire State Building antenna, hung a peace banner, got engaged, and were arrested after a stunt more than 1,400 feet over New York City.
But the bigger question is what happens after the viral moment. Broadcasters reportedly shifted to backup setups, police had to respond, and the charges now include burglary, reckless endangerment, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, criminal tampering, and disorderly conduct.
Was this a once-in-a-lifetime proposal, or should Angela Nikolau and Ivan Beerkus face serious consequences for putting everyone else in the middle of it?
