This GM spark plug repair applies to many 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 Chevrolet and GMC vehicles, including the Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, Avalanche, Cadillac Escalade, and full-size GM vans.

In this video, I’m working on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe with nearly 130,000 miles that developed an intermittent misfire, rough idle, occasional engine shake, and a check engine light that came on and off. The Stabilitrak system was also occasionally shutting off around the same time as the misfire.

I’ll show you the basic tools needed, how to remove stubborn spark plug wires, which extensions and universal joint make the job easier, and how to reach the difficult rear spark plugs. You’ll also see why using the correct AC Delco iridium spark plugs matters and what the old plugs looked like after removal.
