Can You Still Earn From a Faceless YouTube Channel in 2026? YouTube's Own Rules, Explained

Can you still earn from a faceless YouTube channel, or "YouTube automation", in 2026? Fortune verified one 22-year-old's payout records at $40,000 to $60,000 a month across five channels where AI writes the script and reads it. But in December 2025 YouTube permanently deleted an Indian channel with over a billion views, and in January 2026 sixteen of the world's hundred biggest AI channels disappeared. This video explains YouTube's own written rules, including the reused-content and inauthentic-content policies, and the six steps that keep a faceless channel on the right side of them.

This is not a course and nothing is for sale. No earnings are promised: all figures are reported by the named outlets and are those people's results, not yours. No tool, app or group is recommended.

In this video:
• The 22-year-old's "video factory" with Claude and ElevenLabs: $60–110 per video, two million views a day
• The Filipino student who made $9,000 in one month from AI kitten videos
• "AI slop": why YouTube's CEO wrote to every creator in January 2026
• Pakistan's number: 20 of the top 100 trending channels are AI slop, 5.34 billion views, second only to South Korea
• Screen Culture: fake AI movie trailers, 1.4 billion views, Hollywood quietly taking the money, then deleted
• January 2026: 16 channels gone, 35 million subscribers, 4.7 billion views
• Rule 1 (15 July 2025): no mass-produced, template content
• Rule 2 (16 July 2026): no AI "experts" giving money, health or legal advice
• Rule 3 (May 2026): the AI label, and why it doesn't cut your earnings
• The part the Shorts don't tell you: $6,500 a month in costs and salaried teams
• 1 February 2027: the Partner Program bar doubles to 8,000 watch hours for new channels
• The six-step route that passes every rule, with your own voice and your own thinking

Sources named in the video include Fortune, NPR, Deadline (via TheWrap and others), Kapwing's AI Slop Report, The Verge, YouTube's Partner Program policy pages, YouTube's official blog, and the YouTube CEO's January 2026 letter to creators.
