Kids just want to swing, but sometimes the direct sun leaves them feeling like SpongeBob and Patrick on the beach! Give them some refreshing shade, and get them out swinging again midday! They'll love you for it! And your neighbors will think you're a genius.
I'll show you here how to easily add a shade sail to your DIY backyard swing set in just 30 minutes of your time and for about $50 total. It will last for years! And it is quite an elegant solution--pick any color you like.

The shade sail I use here is 9.5 feet by 9.5 feet, and is best suited to a swing set that has a 10 foot long beam. And this 9.5 x 9.5 shade sail is also best suited to a swing set that is 8 feet tall or higher. In the middle of the swing set the shade sail hangs out about 4 feet to the front and 4 feet to the back. (If you put this size shade sail on only a 6 foot tall swing set the kids might run into the shade sail.)

I use all stainless steel hardware, all finished in black, and I link the items here below: (Order off Amazon and assemble in 30 mins!)
