When I first started digital marketing, high commissions definitely got my attention.

Over the past two years, I've tried different programs built around very similar models: digital products, affiliate/resell-style income, and commissions ranging from around 85–100%.

But my criteria have changed.

Today, I'd care far less about the commission percentage and far more about what I'm actually being taught.

Am I learning how to market?

How to understand my ideal customer?

Why people buy?

How to communicate without feeling salesy?

And is there ongoing coaching and support when I don't know what I'm doing?

That's one of the reasons the system I'm building now made sense to me. It wasn't just another product to sell. I wanted to actually learn the skills behind building an online business.

I'm two years into this journey, and I'm sharing what I'm learning as I go — including what I'd do differently if I were starting again.
